What is the Learning Fund?
Green Valley Learning Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation.
Our mission is to raise funds to bridge the gap between state and district funding and the cost of an enriching educational experience for our children.
Current and historical funding priorities include: numerous part-time or full-time instructional assistants (IA’s), professional development opportunities for teachers, reading intervention programming, a teacher on special assignment, a STEAM inspired Maker’s Space, extended Library hours, and lunchtime sports.
Without the additional support and guidance from our volunteer Board, and funding from our families, we would not be able to offer these programs and services.
How does the Learning Fund raise funds?
We offer diverse ways to support our mission, raising funds year round through various campaigns and events. Our signature giving opportunities are as follows:
- July-September: During the required, annual Green Valley school registration process (First Step) via FutureFund, families are invited to make a fully tax-deductible donation in any amount. The Learning Fund suggests a donation which amounts to approximately $5 per student, per day or $970. Donations of any amount can be split into installments.
- November: The Learning Fund is thrilled to host a Turkey Trot inspired ‘Fun Run’ for students. This is a healthy, fun way to raise funds and there are ways for the whole family to get involved. Friends, family, and neighbors can contribute donations in honor of the student. Corporate sponsorship opportunities will be available for the event and the community is encouraged to support.
- Spring: Our most highly anticipated event of the year is a gala style event which features a live auction and inspiration Fund-A-Need. Typically held at Diablo Country Club, a limited number of ticketed guests have the opportunity to engage with our mission on a deeper level on this special night. This event is paired with an online “super-silent” auction available to the greater GV community featuring items like sold-out summer camps, to auction lots like coveted wine tasting excursions, bidders can also expect our beloved teacher treat experiences and buy-in parties hosted by generous families.
- Upon making a personal contribution to the Learning Fund, we hope you will consider doubling the donation through a simple employer match request. Please click here to see whether your company offers a corporate giving program with matching gifts. GV Learning Fund has parent peer volunteer coaches to help you through this process- which usually takes less than 5-minutes!

Learning Fund donations have a direct impact on improving every child’s educational experience. Please be a part of this vital process. Donations can be made in full at registration or broken into installments. We aim to have 100% of our families donate at whatever amount is possible for the family.

Donations can be made in a few ways:
*Family donations during Fall Green Valley Online Registration. http://gves.futurefund.com
*By check, complete Online Registration (http://gves.futurefund.com), and bring your “pay by check” receipt to the Green Valley office and a check made out to the Green Valley Learning Fund.
*Giving a one time $650 asking donation or donate to our fundraisers during the year such as Fall Fest and APEX.
* Donations are tax-deductible and Learning Funds Tax ID #91-1812083. Donations also qualify for Corporate Matching
