Happy New Year Wish and Updates!
Posted 1/4/19

Dear Green Valley Community,

Happy New Year!  I am so excited for our school community as the modernization project is completed in the 3rd grade wing.  The classrooms are updated, modern, and simply beautiful.  I want to give a very special shout out to our project manager, Erin Hirst.  Erin has done an amazing job of bringing the project in on time and working with me as small corrections and adjustments have needed to take place.  I also want to thank the moving company for working so closely with Erin and me on the 22nd of December.  It was a long day and a very successful one.

For those of you who are working with a classroom teacher to help set up rooms again, please remember the set up day is not child friendly.  The teachers are so appreciative of your help and they want to make the classrooms perfect for your children. Thank you in advance for being such help to our school.

The project is moving right along and the wing that houses our library and 5th grade classrooms is now under construction.  The anticipated date of completion will be the week before our Spring Break.  This will entail another orchestrated move.  I'm confident you will hear from teachers and myself asking for assistance again!  Thank goodness, the end result is so exceptional!  It will keep us motivated as we move through the stages of modernization.

As the new year begins, I'd like to formally rededicate myself to the continuous improvement of our school.  Your children are my priority and I want to restate my commitment to their well being, education, and growth.  They are exceptional, and your support of the school has given the teaching staff and me the best possible working environment.  I am filled with gratitude for landing in such a special community.  May our continued work together for the children be our joy, meaning and purpose.  The children are more than worth it!
