News

WATCH D.O.G.S. PIZZA NIGHT (Oct. 20th):

Calling all dads, grandfathers, and father-figures. Join us this Friday, October 20th, at 6 pm for a special pizza night to learn about the school's Watch D.O.G.S. program and how you can help.

BOX TOPS COLLECTION (Now-Oct. 20th):

Box Tops will be collected in your child's classroom now through October 20th, and the money raised will be used to purchase new P.E. and recess equipment. For a list of participating products, click here. Note, the class that collects the most Box Tops will not only get to choose the P.E. equipment that Coach Matt purchases, but will also win Otto Pops after P.E. class! Go to www.boxtops4education.com more information about the Box Tops program.

GREEN VALLEY RUN CLUB IS BACK:

Beginning September 8th, Run Club will meet every Friday at 8-8:30 am on the school blacktop. The Run Club is a PTA sponsored club for all Green Valley students, parents, and staff that want to participate, and is designed to provide a positive and healthy opportunity to develop a routine of physical exercise while having fun! Run, skip, walk, leap, or hop as many laps as you can! To register your student, please complete the permission slip during Green Valley registration or fill out the form available in the front office. We are hoping to have at least two parents join us each Friday. You do not have to be a runner to help, but you just might become one! For questions please email Coach Matt.

LUNCH WITH YOUR CHILD:

We are always in need of supervisory help during lunch recess and this school year is no different. Grades 1-3 have lunch/recess from 11:45am-12:30pm and Grades 4-5 have lunch/recess from 12:35pm-1:20pm. If you are able to help on any given day, please sign up by clicking here. Be aware that all Green Valley Elementary volunteers need to register through the San Ramon Valley Unified School District's Volunteer Management System before they can help at school.

SCHOOL PICK-UP/DROP-OFF RULES:

Parents please follow all parking, drop off, and pick up rules. Cars should ONLY use the back lot for drop-off and pick-up. The front lot is solely for bus drop-off /pick-up at the start and end of the school day. In addition, cars should never be left unattended in the drop-off lane of the back parking lot. When this happens, traffic becomes very congested and causes not only unnecessary stress but also creates safety concerns as children move around the parked vehicles. Lastly, but very importantly, parents please wait for your children in the courtyard, rather than the school hallways.
